Job Description
The Machine Maintenance Helper supports the maintenance team by assisting in routine maintenance, cleaning, basic repairs, and handling tools and materials. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring machines remain clean, well-lubricated, and ready for use by providing timely assistance during maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Support Maintenance Work:
- Assist maintenance technicians during machine repair and servicing.
- Hold tools, parts, or materials as needed during repair work.
Machine Cleaning:
- Regularly clean machines, panels, and surrounding areas.
- Remove chips, oil, dust, and debris to keep machines in good condition.
Lubrication & Coolant Checks:
- Assist in checking and refilling lubrication oil, coolant, or other fluids.
- Inform the technician of any abnormal leakage or spillage.
Material Handling:
- Carry tools, spare parts, and equipment to and from the maintenance area.
- Help move small machine components or accessories safely.
Safety & Housekeeping:
- Maintain cleanliness of maintenance tools and the workshop area.
- Follow safety instructions and wear proper PPE during all tasks.
Inventory Support:
- Help in organizing and storing maintenance materials, tools, and spares.
- Inform the technician when stock of commonly used items is low.
